Jodi, a 12 year girl from Rathcoole is spreading positivity, kindness and colour throughout the village of Rathcoole. A fantastic idea of painting rocks containing messages of kindness, positive notes and overall aim to make people smile in an uncertain time.
Jodi’s Mum Emma commented “My 12 year old Jodi and I have spent the last few day painting positivity rocks for our community! We put them all around Rathcoole. The aim is to spread positivity, kindness and colour to those out doing their ‘one walk a day’.

Jodi and Emma would love if this concept was used in other villages and towns across the country. “We were thinking it would be really lovely to get other kids in other communities involved. Maybe they are missing their grandparents and can’t visit them. Maybe they are missing their school friends! They could paint a rock, leave it outside their house or in their garden, or at their wall. Share positivity, kindness & colour.”
Jodi’s idea extended to “Maybe they could make one for the park, to leave outside the GPS, maybe at the hospital if your near, to give our frontliners something to smile at as they come and go from work. To share positivity, kindness & colour.”
Emma continued “We would like to invite you to get involved. To encourage you to paint your own rocks. To create your own messages of positivity, kindness & colour to brighten up our communities and the paths of these whom you love & places that bring you joy”
Children have already started getting involved, they are doing rock hunts, creating rocks of their own and putting them in their communities.
