Works expected to commence on Holy Family Community School in Rathcoole this summer

Holy Family NS Rathcoole

Fianna Fáil candidate in the upcoming local election Ciarán Power, said he was delighted to welcome Minister for Education Norma Foley to Rathcoole and receive an update on the large scale capital project which will provide accommodation for a 1,000 pupil school.

Power, who is a past pupil of Holy Family Community School named the school expansion as one of the key reasons for running in the local elections. He recently facilitated a meeting between Tánaiste and leader of Fianna Fáil Micheál Martin, Principal of Holy Family Community School Ingrid Fallon and Dublin MEP Barry Andrews to discuss the pressing necessity for a rebuild, noting that despite significant population growth, the school infrastructure has remained unchanged since he attended as a pupil.

Following Minister Foley’s visit to the school, he said, “I was delighted to welcome Fianna Fáil Minister for Education Norma Foley, to Rathcoole today and to sincerely express my gratitude for her efforts in advancing this essential project. Together, we discussed the critical importance of now pushing this project across the finish line without further delay.

“The next major milestone will be the issue of the Letter of Acceptance to the successful contractor, which I expect to be issued in the coming days.  I understand that the contractor has been in touch with Ms Ingrid Fallon to finalise the schedule of works with building expected to commence later this summer.

“Every child deserves a learning environment that matches their potential. The advancement of this project is testament to Fianna Fáil’s dedication to providing the best possible education for all students.”
