Teachta Ward said: “I raised the issue of the urgent need of post primary ASD classes in the North Clondalkin area. I welcome his response that temporary classes will be available to pupils this year in Collinstown Community College. “These classes will assist pupils to reach their educational and development milestones within their own community. “I also welcome progress on a permanent 2 classroom SEN base in the Collinstown Complex. This plan is the design phase and a pre-planning meeting with the local authority have taken place. It is expected that a planning application will be lodged in the coming weeks for it in the coming weeks. “I will  maintain the pressure on the department to progress this project so that children are not left in temporary ASD classrooms any longer than is necessary.
