The local Vaping Awareness Campaign was formally launched by Mayor Baby Pereppadan recently in TU Dublin. This campaign was collaboratively developed by Tallaght & Clondalkin Drugs & Alcohol Task Forces, Slaintecare Healthy Communities and South Dublin County Partnership; building on the phrase coined by Connect 4, encouraging people to #kickthevape
The campaign looks at 4 key messages, how vaping impacts lung health, mental health, financial health and the environment. The campaign includes an informative video that clearly outlines what a vape is and the potential harms vaping can cause, see video on youtube https://youtu.be/Rjzrxv9ONT0.
Lastly, the latest episode of the TDATF podcast series, Survive & Thrive, focus’ on vaping is now live. Guests include Paul Perth (Connect 4 Project), Alan McDonnell (Slaintecare Healthy Communities) & Professor Bobby Smyth (Consultant, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry).
