Traffic gridlock in Lucan to continue

Dublin bye-election candidate for Dublin Mid-West, Cllr. Shane Moynihan has called on the NTA to reverse their decision to close the right turn west onto the N4 from the Woodies bridge. The closure of the right turn is likely to cause further traffic congestion in the area Cllr Moynihan said: “I was extremely disappointed to see closure of the right turn west onto the N4 from Woodies bridge has been included in the revised Bus Connects proposals.

“This closure would only serve to increase the number of cars passing through Lucan Village, further adding to the gridlock in the village. “Residents in Woodville Downs and Esker Lane and people across Lucan who are opposed to this closure have my full support. I will be making my opposition to this clear in my submission to Bus Connects.” concluded Cllr Moynihan.
