Exploring the fictional wonders of time-travel, this year’s Christmas event follows the heart-warming story of an elf named Happy, on a quest to deliver Santa’s presents on time. But when the festive-phobic Grinch swipes every gift under the sun, a time-travelling fairy Godmother (played by returning Duffy Circus actress, Phoebe Dipple) takes the reins, turning back the clocks to stop Happy’s Christmas disaster from snowballing out of control. With a broken-clock plot twist, Tom Duffy’s Christmas Circus unfolds a magnificent voyage through recent history, travelling from the Victorian era to the 1980s, its vibrant characters impelled to build a new time-machine to stop the Grinch once and for all.
