Money kindly donated by people in the Dublin South West area will go towards vital school equipment for Saplings School, a Fine Gael General Election candidate has said. Ellen O’Malley Dunlop, who is running for the Dáil in the constituency, recently organised a successful fundraiser to raise money for Saplings School in Ballyroan and for the JADD, Jobstown Assisting Drug Dependency Centre. “The event cleared €6,900 which has been split evenly between the school and the Jobstown centre. These two organisations make a valuable contribution to our local community and I am delighted at the result of the fundraiser. Saplings school will spend the money on equipment for the school and plants for the new garden and playground which was created recently by Difference Day. I understand the JADD donation will go towards providing more therapy hours for the families of clients recovering from addiction and to supporting the aftercare facilities. I look forward to working with both organisations going forward to help ensure they can continue to provide such important services locally which I know they do on very tight budgets,” she concluded.
Thousands raised for two excellent local organisations
