Pregnancy Baby Fair LauraLynn Childrens Hospice

The Pregnancy and Baby Fair, Ireland’s only exhibition covering all things pregnancy and baby related for new and expectant parents, is bringing its award-winning event online for the first time in its ten year history, and its free! Ireland’s biggest virtual baby event will take place on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October with a new headline sponsor, NUK Ireland and is called The Pregnancy and Baby Fair @ HOME with NUK.

By moving online, event ‘attendees’ will be able to shop all the amazing exhibitors online, and they’ll receive exclusive emails offers to their inbox when they join the Pregnancy & Baby Fair mailing list via the website.

Ireland’s most renowned and respected maternity and baby experts will be on hand to give informative talks and advice on a range of aspects relating to pregnancy and parenting, paying particular attention to how things might differ for new parents during the current pandemic. All of the talks (see schedule in Notes to Editors) will now be delivered to attendees from the comfort of their own home! Experts include:

  • Dr Vicky O’Dwyer, Consultant Obstetrician at The Rotunda Hospital
  • Lucy Woulfe, Sleep Expert
  • Aileen Cox Bundell, Weaning Expert
  • Clare Boyle, Lactation Consultant
  • Maura Cronin, Baby Expert at NUK

Claire Finnan and Jennifer Shaw, Co-founders of The Pregnancy & Baby Fair, started the event in 2010 at the height of a recession. Now, ten years later they find themselves re-modelling their business during the current global pandemic.

The duo first came to national attention on Dragons Den, where they went down in history as the first ever candidates to secure backing from all five Dragons for their exciting exhibition idea, The Pregnancy & Baby Fair. After the phenomenal success of the first event in 2010, Claire and Jennifer bought out all five Dragons.

Jennifer Shaw, Co-Founder of The Pregnancy and Baby Fair“We are overjoyed to partner with NUK on such an educational and informative free virtual event, to help, inform and educate all the amazing expectant and first time parents during this difficult time. Virtual visitors can shop exhibitor products, receive offers and discounts, and listen to Ireland’s leading experts all from the comfort of their own home for free!”

Speaking about the new partnership Aine Devlin, Brand Manager, NUK Ireland, said: “As a brand that advocates for and supports parents on their journey, we are delighted to join forces with the Pregnancy & Baby Fair. The new online format is a great way to bring even more ‘attendees’ through the virtual doors, as people from all corners of the country will be able to easily access the event. It’s a new experience for all of us, and I can’t wait to see it come together over what’s sure to be a brilliant three days.”

For the month of October McCabes Pharmacy is offering 25% off the NUK range, and for the duration of this event (2nd, 3rd and 4th October 2020) customers shopping online at mccabespharmacy.com will receive an additional 10% off any NUK product using the code NUK2020*.
