Following on from Gilligan’s fifth successful local election spanning 20 years of service. Gilligan will highlight several local issues including 1) More funding for public health nurses in Dublin Mid West. 2) School works – Gael Scoil na Camoige is waiting 30 years for their new building. 3) Traffic needs to be tackled via an outer ring relief road, also promised in the past. Reliable and frequent bus services. 4) Creche workers deserve more rights than they currently have. They work tirelessly for our children so that we can contribute to the economy. Provide better pay and benefits. 5) One-off housing – Residents who are third, fourth and fifth generation, yet they are not allowed to build on their own land, beside their loved ones.

Gilligan celebrated turning 40 last July as well as twenty years elected to SDCC. “Having dedicated my entire adult life to serving my community, I feel I have to explore the opportunity to take a seat in Dublin Mid West. I have lived here all my life. My wife and I, now rear our children here locally” commented Cllr Trevor Gilligan.
