South Dublin Libraries are delighted to launch their membership drive “Here for you in 2022 and beyond”. They are letting all citizens living, working, or studying in the South Dublin County Council area, who they are and what they do! Your library card is your passport to events, social groups, seminars, workshops, talks, clubs, STEAM, storytime, books, digital resources and so much more. There are 8 branch libraries and 2 brand new mobile libraries that service all of South Dublin County. Your South Dublin Library card also gives you the freedom to use any library in Ireland and to take advantage of the incredible national catalogue of over 12 million resources.
All items are free to borrow and if you are visiting other places in Ireland, you can borrow a book and then leave it back to us and we will return it safely to its home. Their range of services and events is ever expanding with music gigs, Irish language events, STEAM, career and business start up talks to name but a few. The libraries also provide a vast array of online resources which include language classes, downloadable books and over 3000 magazines and periodicals. The service also has PCs, WIFI and 3D printers all free to use.
The flexible spaces allow people to meet, have discussions, or just read the newspapers. There is something for everyone and highly trained staff are always on hand to help and advise.
