Sean Walsh Park awarded Green Flag Award

Green Flag Award at Sean Walsh Park

SDCC are delighted to have won a green flag for Sean Walsh Park for the third time. The Green Flag Award is an international quality benchmark that recognises and rewards the provision of high-quality parks and green spaces.

The Mayor of South Dublin County Council Cllr Ed O’Brien raised the flag on Wednesday the 14th of October and said “This award is a huge honour for everyone in SDCC and park users. Sean Walsh Park plays an integral part in achieving South Dublin County Council’s aim of creating an attractive place to live, work and do business. Town parks improve our physical and psychological health, strengthen our communities, and make our towns and neighbourhoods better places to live and work. I believe the green flag demonstrates how much care and effort the Park’s staff put into maintaining the park and how much the local community use and appreciate the park. I would like to take this opportunity to thank park staff, community volunteers and residents’ groups for all their hard work”
