Rocky Fitness, a well-loved fitness hub in Walkinstown, has launched a new coffee spot, Rocky’s Coffee, serving up fresh coffee, smoothies, protein-packed treats, sandwiches, wraps and healthy snacks. This latest addition, nestled across from the gym in Beechlawn Industrial Complex just off the Walkinstown Roundabout, is the brainchild of local fitness entrepreneur Rocky (Rory) O’Donovan, who has built a thriving community around his gym, since its establishment in 2014.
“We wanted to give people really good coffee and tasty, healthy food options – all at affordable prices,” says Rocky O’Donovan. “Being able to offer something like this to the local community is fantastic, and we’re looking forward to meeting new faces as they come to Rocky’s Coffee.”
Rocky’s Fitness, a family-run business, is truly local, employing 11 people – from coaches to physios, and now baristas – with a focus on supporting health and wellness for nearby residents. With Rocky’s sister Lucy managing Rocky’s Coffee and his brother Daragh coaching at the gym, the family-driven business fosters an inviting atmosphere that promotes community bonding through fitness and food.
Rocky’s Fitness offers a range of classes, from group personal training to Pilates and games days, designed to keep locals active both physically and mentally. The new coffee shop extends the brand’s mission of promoting wellness by providing a place where community members and residents alike can relax, recharge, and connect.
“We’re proud to be expanding the Rocky Fitness brand and hope to build a lifestyle that supports people not just physically, but mentally too,” adds O’Donovan. “There’s a strong sense of community here that we’re excited to foster through Rocky’s Coffee.”
With Rocky’s Coffee now open, Walkinstown and the surrounding areas have a new spot for delicious, healthy options and a sense of connection right in their neighbourhood.
