McHale Plant Sales – the prominent Irish-owned construction equipment distributor resident on Rathcoole’s Greenogue Industrial Estate – is reporting ‘steady progress’ on the sales, staffing and operational fronts following their appointment as UK distributor for Finnish-made Metso mobile stone crushers announced some months ago.
The appointment – which expands their field of operations to include the England, Scotland and Wales markets – is one that sees the Rathcoole business build upon the work it has been doing for many years as Metso distributors in Ireland and Northern Ireland markets.
Latest development just announced is their opening of a second UK depot outlet, this time in Scotland at 13 West Telferton Industrial Estate on the east side of Edinburgh.
Set to function in lockstep with their UK headquarters which began operations only months ago on the Lichfield Road Industrial Estate in Tamworth, the new outlet is one that places the company ‘even closer to its user base in Scotland’.
Initially, it will operate as a parts supply store and customer contact and communications centre, with downstream plans to base a customer sales and technical support unit there.
In the few months since their appointment, the company has made senior appointments in sales, service and parts stores management and secured major sales to customers in locations as widely spread as London, Cornwall, North Wales and Yorkshire.
Commenting, their Business Development Director, Darragh O’Driscoll said: “pleased as we are with our progress from a standing-start, we will move forward aware of the challenges ahead in building our team in Tamworth and Edinburgh, primarily through appointments in technical and customer support roles, and by intensifying our contacts with Metso owners throughout England, Scotland and Wales”.
