The Rathcoole Courthouse marked its official reopening on May 24th following total funding of €800,000 by South Dublin County Council (SDCC) and Minister Heather Humphreys Town and Village Renewal Scheme. The event was a testament to the hard work of staff from SDCC including CEO Colm Ward, Senior Community Office Paul McAlerney, volunteers of the Rathcoole Old Courthouse Facility including Alan Fairman and the Rathcoole Community Council. Local Fine Gael TD and Minister of State Emer Higgins attended the event and was joined by Cllr Shirley O’Hara, Cllr Francis Timmons deputising for the Mayor, Cllr Trevor Gilligan and Lynn Tierney. The celebrations continued over the weekend with an art exhibition, highlighting the community’s vibrant cultural scene.
