Quintain has received planning permission for 227 new homes in the next phase of its Aderrig development in Adamstown. The 12-acre site will include 95 three-bed houses, 28 four-bed houses, and 104 two and three bed duplexes set among extensive landscaped communal areas, and a central pocket park. The site has a gross development value of over €90m and Quintain will appoint a contractor to start construction shortly. The first sales launch is planned for May.
Aderrig benefits from its location in the centre of Adamstown with a host of amenities close by, including Airlie Park (due to open later this year), The Crossings village centre, 2 primary schools and 1 secondary school, and excellent bus and rail links. There are also 2 additional schools planned for the area in the future. Designed by BKD Architects, the scheme will provide a mix of well-proportioned homes in a fast-growing suburban setting.
This development marks further progress in Quintain’s plans for a vibrant community in Adamstown, where to date Quintain and its affiliates have built 1,000 homes, with over 85% occupied by first time buyers. In total Quintain has 1,500 homes under construction or due to commence this year in Adamstown.
Michael Hynes, Joint Managing Partner of Quintain Ireland, said: “Quintain is delighted to receive planning permission on this phase of our Aderrig development delivering much needed new homes to create a vibrant and connected community. We now have over 1,500 homes under construction or due to commence in Adamstown this year with a strong focus on the first time buyer market. With excellent amenities and extensive green spaces, we expect strong interest in Aderrig when we launch sales in May.”
