Priory Youthreach Tallaght was awarded a Silver Standard Health Quality Mark (HQM) by the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) in recognition of their work on health promotion for young people. Presenting the award at a special event held in Priory Youthreach, Greenhills Rd on the 29th of January, Bríd Collins from the NYCI National Youth Health Programme said “This award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all at the Priory Youthreach who are committed to the highest quality standards in health promotion and there is a key priority here to ensure a healthy and safe place for young people and staff.”
Ms Collins added “Congratulations are in order to the staff and learners of Youthreach, especially to Sandra as coordinator of the Health Promotion Team and those who have guided the organisation through the HQM process to ensure that their work is in line with national and international best practices in the area of youth health promotion. The Priory Youthreach is a credit to those working there and it is clear that health promotion has been included in all aspects of the Youthreach. “The great work carried out here supports the national Healthy Ireland campaign, which is about increasing our focus on prevention, health promotion, and supporting young people to improve their health and wellbeing.”
