Playspace at Glendown Park Officially Opens

Mayor of South Dublin County Council, Councillor Vicky Casserly officially opened the Playspace at Glendown Park, Templeogue recently; which has been delivered as part of South Dublin County Council’s Playspace programme.

Speaking at the event Mayor of South Dublin County Council Cllr Vicky Casserly said;“Playspaces contribute to better physical and mental health for children and have also taken on a significance in terms of becoming focal points and meeting places for local communities. In Glendown it is wonderful to see so many groups of young people using the equipment before and after school and at weekends; and seeing the social interaction of parents, grandparents and groups of neighbours.” The Mayor paid tribute to the local community for their support in both the development of this playground and their continued support of this valuable facility, and the work of the Council staff in managing the project and maintaining the playspace.
