Palmerstown Camera Club had great success in the POTY competition’s (photographer Of the Year) in The Grand Hotel Malahide on the 19th of January. The Nature photographer of the year is also judged at this event. The winners of awards are then selected to go towards the finals in February. Palmerstown camera club picked up a total of 15 awards much to the delight of members that entered the competition. It is for non-advanced and advanced members. The winners of the non-advanced colour where Aoife Tierney took first place and Gerald Phelan took second place. Aoife Tierney also took second in the projected open. In the mono print Environmental Portraiture was Lorraine Kelly. In the projected theme Human face and body was Gerald Phelan. In the poty advanced Lorraine Morris, came 1st in both the Mono print open, projected open and projected theme third place. Other winners in the advanced where Teresa Kavanagh first place in the mono print theme and Elaine Butler second in colour print theme creative experimental.
