In June Palmerstown Camera Club held their 14th end of year exhibition in the Parish Centre in Palmerstown. The exhibition was opened by former South Dublin County Council Deputy Mayor Joanna Tuffy. At the exhibition they handed out yearly awards some of which are featured. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to judges on the night namely Tony Murray from Malahide Camera Club and Michael Linehan from Celbridge Camera Club.
Some winning images were Preflight Check by Caroline Fowler, The Cat Flap by Brenda Hartley and Hello Mister Cheakey by David Barrett.
During the month of July there will be a smaller scaled-down version of the exhibition in Lucan Library. At the library exhibition, you will be able to enter a competition to win a print by voting for your favourite image. Over the summer months, the club runs photography outings to places like Pollardstown Fen, Nanny Cottage and Howth to mention just a few. People interested in joining the club or even attending one or two meetings FREE of charge to see how their photography could benefit from being a member can do so by contacting secpcc@mail.com.
