Local Councillor, Charlie O’Connor, the Chairman of Tallaght Area Committee, has welcomed plans for an All Weather Pitch at the Belgard Community Centre.

The matter was raised at the monthly meeting of the Tallaght Area Committee and the following report was adopted:

On foot of a successful application under the Sports Capital Programme 2018, Belgard Community Centre was awarded a grant of €150,000 towards the development of a 80m x 50m 4G All-Weather facility within their grounds adjacent to the community centre to replace the current natural playing surface and maximize usage to the clubs currently using this facility.
