O’Connor welcomes opening of Reeves Day Surgery Tallaght

RDSC Opens Tallaght Hospital

Local Councillor, member of the Regional Health Forum in Dublin Mid Leinster and former board member of Tallaght Hospital, Charlie O’Connor, has welcomed the official opening of Reeves Day Surgery Tallaght by his party colleague and Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly. The new 3,460sqm Reeves Day Surgery Centre (RDSC) is located across the road from the main hospital and consists of 25 bays and four operating theatres.

Following the opening, Councillor O’Connor commented, ‘I was delighted to see my Fianna Fáil colleague and Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, visiting Tallaght to mark the opening of this important new facility.

‘The RDSC is for patients that need elective surgery under general or local anaesthesia or sedation and are scheduled to go home on the same day following their procedure. ‘This new Centre will greatly enhance the services at Tallaght University Hospital and will eliminate long wait times for routine day surgery. ‘It’s something I’ve campaigned for over the years and is a welcomed boost to our community here in Tallaght,’’ he concluded.
