On Monday, 11th of November, Local Fine Gael TD and Minister of State for Business, Employment, and Retail, Emer Higgins, launched the report ‘Bringing Culture into the Heart of Communities – The Cultural Role and Value of Ireland’s Bookshops’ with Bookselling Ireland’s Chair Dawn Behan and Cian Byrne. The event, held at Dubray Books, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, highlights the many ways in which the bookselling sector actively supports communities, culture, creativity and contributes to inbound tourism across the country. Minister Higgins expressed thanks to Dubray and to Liffey Valley for hosting and to Dawn and Cian from Bookselling Ireland for their work and advocacy for Ireland’s bookselling sector.
