The organisers are delighted to announce that ex British Touring Car champion Alec Poole will attend the RIAC Picnic in the Park has been postponed to 24th July in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin. The event will mark the 60th birthday of the original Mini and therefore it is entirely fitting that this great champion attends as his most notable successes were achieved at the wheel of the original Mini. Indeed Alec’s many successes are synonymous with the Mini and its derivatives throughout its competition years.

The RIAC Picnic in the Park takes place annually in aid of LauraLynn, Ireland’s only children’s hospice, and runs from 4pm to 8.30pm. ALL proceeds will be donated to LauraLynn whose incredible work can make a huge difference to those children so much less fortunate in life.
