The Law Society of Ireland congratulates the winners of the 2023 Michael Peart Challenge Cup. Niamh Ferry from Dublin is a trainee solicitor at Arthur Cox LLP, Dublin and represented the Law Society at the competition in Belfast with her teammates Sarah Courtney, Arthur Cox LLP, Dublin, Steven Scanlan, RDJ, Cork, and Andrea Whelton, Arthur Cox LLP, Dublin. The Law Society team was presented with the cup on 11 May 2023.
This cross-border competition is a collaboration between the Law Society of Ireland and the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) at Queens University Belfast. The competition promotes the value of resolving disputes through mediation, and is designed to help trainee solicitors from both institutions to develop their mediation skills in tandem with receiving feedback from expert practitioners.
