TD for Dublin South West, John Lahart, has welcomed the opening of the new Penneys in the Square, Tallaght.
The store is part of the retailer’s commitment to invest €250m in Ireland over the next 10 years.
The local Fianna Fáil TD commented, “I am delighted to welcome the opening of the new Penneys store, here in Tallaght. It is great to see a successful indigenous business like Penneys investing in Tallaght.
“This investment demonstrates the viability of Tallaght as a great place to do business and to employ people. The new store will bring great opportunities to Tallaght and the Square, creating 300 new jobs for Tallaght and Southwest Dublin.”
