Kärcher Hosts First-Ever Charity Kar Wash Event to Support Barretstown

Kärcher, the world-renowned provider of innovative cleaning solutions, is set to roll up their sleeves and get sudsy at their first-ever “Kärcher Kar Wash” charity event taking place Monday, August 19th, at the Kärcher Centre, Ballymount, Dublin. This family-friendly event promises a fun and engaging experience for all attendees, with all proceeds going towards making the magic of Barretstown possible for children and families living with cancer and other serious illnesses.

In addition to getting cars cleaned by the expert Kärcher team, attendees will enjoy a range of delightful treats. An ice-cream van and a coffee van will be on-site, offering delicious refreshments. Upon making a donation, customers can redeem their donation for a free coffee or ice-cream, making it a perfect outing for families.

Lee Hulsman, Director of Marketing & Retail at Kärcher Ireland, comments on the fundraiser ’We are incredibly proud to launch the first Kärcher Kar Wash event in support of Barretstown Children’s Charity. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, core values that drive us at Kärcher. By offering

our cleaning services and encouraging donations to Barretstown, we aim to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children facing serious illnesses. We invite everyone to join us, support Barretstown, and experience the remarkable performance of Kärcher products firsthand.’’

Emily Finn, Barretstown’s Corporate Fundraising Executive, said “We are delighted to be Kärcher’s chosen charity for the Kar Wash. Funds raised from this event will help make the magic of Barretstown possible for children and families living with cancer and other serious illness.  We really appreciate the support shown by the Kärcher team, they have completed a deep clean at camp, donated equipment and attended Barretstown events. Thank you everyone at Kärcher and best of luck with the Kar Wash!”

Barretstown offers free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and their families living with cancer and other serious illnesses – supported behind the scenes by 24-hour on site medical and nursing care. With the event taking place just a week before kids go back to school after the summer holidays, it’s the perfect opportunity for families to get their cars cleaned and ready for the new school year.

Join Kärcher and Barretstown at the Kärcher Center, D22 P703, on August 19th from 9am for a day of car washing, delicious treats, and family fun all for a great cause. For more information about the event keep an eye on Kärcher’s social channels.
