It’s Decision Time with BCFE!

Cecilia Munro BCFE

The country has been through a tough time since March 2020. The pandemic caused disruption to our everyday and academic lives. As the country slowly reopens you now must make tough decisions about what to do in September 2021.

For some of you, that choice may have already been made Employment, travel, further or higher education. Whatever your choice BCFE (BALLYFRMOT COLLEGE OF FURTHER EDUCATION) and its staff wish you every success in your endeavours.

BCFE is however conscious that many students have not yet made that decision and would like you to consider enrolling on a course within BCFE in your chosen area or diversifying into a different area.  A full list of BCFE’s courses is available on BCFE website on www.bcfe.ie and this might help you in making that choice.

For example:

  • Students might reconsider repeating their course
  • Students who completed a level 4/5 course can progress to a level 5/6 course
  • Students can complete courses in completely different academic disciplines
  • Students may have friends or family who interested in completing a course in BCFE
  • Students may be interested in one of BCFE’s new traineeships for the next academic year

Logistics and Distribution (Traineeship)

Visual Effects (Traineeship)

Certified Accountancy and Payroll Pathway (Traineeship)

Higher National Diploma (HND/Traineeship) in Irish Traditional Music Performance, Instrument Making, Repair and Maintenance

There are many examples throughout this Prospectus and BCFE would welcome an opportunity to talk to any learner who is considering progressing within their own area or diversifying into a totally different area.  All BCFE courses are fully recognised on the qualification’s framework.  Courses are designed to meet future skills requirements with each course having clearly defined progression pathways to further and/or higher education and suggested employment routes.

If you are interested, please email the Administration Office at info@bcfe.ie with your full query and the Course Coordinator will be able to respond.

Yours sincerely

Cecilia Munro
