IPF National Shield Competition 17th November

Dalkey Palmerstowm Camera Club

On Saturday 17th of November Palmerstown Camera Club will be hosting the IPF National Shield Competition in Pobalscoil Iososoide School on Upper Kennellsfort Road in Palmerstown.

The IPF National shield is an annual inter club competition which is open to all clubs who are affiliated to the IPF (Irish Photographic Federation).  Only photographers who are at intermediate level are eligible in this competition. The competition showcases the work of photographers from clubs all over the country. Each competing club must submit a panel of colour prints and monochrome prints

The judges go around each panel checking technical knowhow, subject paper and how the photograph was mounted also the photographs must tell a story. The judges only spend up to 2 or 3 minutes at a panel and they are looking for something different. Each club waits with bathed breath as they look at their panel.   Best of luck all the clubs but especially good luck to Palmerstown Camera Club.
