Councillor for North Clondalkin/Palmerstown/Lucan LEA Mark Ward welcomes news that South Dublin County Council will be undertaking substantial works to upgrade their housing stock. Over the next two years 924 homes will receive upgrading works to their windows and doors in the Clondalkin/Lucan area. Cllr Ward said: “I welcome the news that nearly a 1000 homes will receive upgrades to their windows and doors as part of an accelerated maintenance programme. This is the fruit of the last budget from South Dublin County Council and the work that Sinn Fein put into securing these funds” “Amongst these houses getting upgraded 284 will be a complete refurbishment involving replacement of all windows/doors at the property. As well as maintain the Council stock this programme will improve the quality of life for Council tenants”

“We in Sinn Fein are always looking to enhance our constituents lives and our input into the budgets over the last five years has proven that. We will endeavour to do that same going forward and will be pushing the controlling group in South Dublin of Fine Gael/Fianna Fail/Green Party to deliver a socially just budget”.
