Griffith College is proud to announce that it will sponsor Pembroke Wanderers under-16 girls Hockey team for 2019/2020. This sponsorship coincides with the beginning of the competitive hockey season. The national institution has teamed up with its local hockey club to promote sports amongst young women and become involved in the 20×20 movement.
Pembroke Wanderers has seen significant growth in recent years’, now boasting eight under-16 girls hockey teams. Griffith College has seen a similar growth and hopes to continue to remain active in the community. “Griffith College is delighted to be a sponsor of Pembroke Wanderers, one of Dublin’s leading hockey teams. The College works closely with a range of clubs and associations across the city, as part of our commitment to increasing access to sports at underage level. We look forward to working with Pembroke over the coming seasons.”
“Pembroke will celebrate 100 years in 2022so we are building up to this and exciting times are ahead. I feel we are now on the right track and look forward to and welcome Griffith College’s support for the future of Pembroke Wanderers Hockey Club.” Griffith College is also currently sponsoring Kevin’s camogie club as well as promoting several scholarships and bursary’s to DEIS schools.
