The expansion of the Pfizer workforce will make Grange Castle a global player in the fight against the covid-19 pandemic, a Dublin Mid-West TD has said.
Deputy Emer Higgins has welcomed the news of 75 new jobs from Pfizer who are a big local employer in Grange Castle. “The creation of 75 new jobs at Grange Castle as part of their new European-based facility is a massive boost for the local area,” Said Deputy Higgins. “The Grange Castle facility will play a strategic part in the global rollout of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and really shows that even though we are a small country we can make massive contributions to science and medicine when it comes to the vaccine.
“I recently toured the Pfizer plant in Grange Castle with the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, Minister Simon Harris and local Cllr Shirley O’Hara,” said Deputy Higgins. “And we saw first-hand the mammoth effort that workers in Pfizer are putting in day after day to the global fight against the pandemic. “We wouldn’t be where we currently are in our re-opening programme without the ingenuity and research of these people and it is fantastic to have Pfizer right on our doorstep in Dublin Mid-West,” Deputy Higgins concluded.
