As part of Mediation Awareness week 2018, the Quarryvale Family Resource Centre is hosting a free event open to members of the public and any organisations that work with families. Dr Roisin O’Shea, an award winning researcher with The Family Mediation Project, and a Director of the Mediators Institute of Ireland, will present an interactive information session on family mediation and the benefits for parents and children. “With the commencement of the Mediation Act in 20018 this year there is an increase in the visibility and uptake in mediation across the country. Through the presentation we will answer common questions like what is family mediation, where can I get it, how long does it take, what does it cost and can I get a legally binding agreement? It is a free event, and we are happy to answer any questions on the day”.
