Pictured: In May 2019 Past Education Minister Joe McHugh T.D. officially opened the Garden of Remembrance in Firhouse Community College.  The garden was first suggested following the sad and untimely death of two members of staff in October 2016 and January 2017.  Ms Maher and her Leaving Certificate Applied class first suggested the idea of a Garden of Remembrance and they began work.  The Parents’ Council then enthusiastically embraced the idea and got involved. In the meantime they have worked tirelessly in fundraising and seeking sponsorship.  L-R Chairperson of Firhouse Community College Parents Council Natalie Ward, Minister for Education Joe McHugh T.D. and Principal Senan Nolan.
