EY Ireland recently announced the launch of EY Law Ireland, an integrated legal offering that represents a unique proposition for the Irish market. The new practice is headed up by Alan Murphy who brings 30 years’ experience to the role, and offers EY clients access to an even broader end-to-end service. EY Law Ireland will offer multidisciplinary expertise from multiple jurisdictions across the EY network which is made up of over 150 countries worldwide. EY Law is a service which is already available to clients in 92 countries in the EY global network and will expand on and seamlessly integrate with the firm’s already expansive service offering of Tax, Strategy and Transactions, Assurance (Audit) and Consulting. By launching EY Law Ireland, EY becomes Ireland’s only global and multidisciplinary professional services firm to offer a law firm as an integral part of its client offering.
EY Law Ireland will initially specialise in Digital, Tech and Commercial, Corporate M&A, Employment and Real Estate, with EY having recently recruited three experienced Associate Partners with over 50 years’ collective experience – Mairead Finlay (Real Estate), Deirdre Malone (Employment) and Adam Synnott (Corporate M&A). Further expert equity partner, Associate Partner and additional senior talent will join EY Law Ireland in early 2022 to form what will be a market leading Digital, Tech and Commercial Law team, with a number of senior hires due to start in the next month, further building out the practice’s diverse and sector-experienced team.
Alan Murphy joins EY from Eversheds Sutherland Ireland where he most recently held the position of Managing Partner, served as Chair of the firm’s European offices and was a member of its Global Board. Alan is also ranked as an Eminent Practitioner in Chambers Europe and has been a recommended individual since 2006.
