Edward’s 24hr Tallaght Tower Challenge

Local man Edward O’Connor is Raising funds for ALONE on the 3rd of May in Tallaght.

Edward added ‘Behind me is Tallaght’s tallest building standing twelve storeys high. On Sunday 3rd of May, I will be commencing the start of a 24 hour challenge I’v set for myself to raise much needed funds for the charity ALONE. I’v set myself a goal to complete a total elevation of 10,000m within 24hrs..so to put that into perspective that’s higher than the highest mountain in the world Mount Everest and the highest mountain in Ireland Carrauntoohill combined. In order to achieve this I will need to run up and down the twelve story building 263 times’.

“ALONE receives increased number of calls from older people regarding mental health difficulties stemming from cocooning and the covid 19 pandemic. Unfortunately funding is at an all time low as you can imagine especially now. so I’m asking you to donate no matter how small because donating helps spread the word, and while I keep running up and down them steps together we can let people know that ,We may be apart, But we are not Alone.” Edward concluded.
