Speaking at the launch of his local election campaign Labour candidate for the Clondalkin Ward (including Saggart, Rathcoole, Newcastle & Brittas) Robert Dowds said that he was going to campaign on three issues; 1. Provision of housing, both private and social, 2. Improved transport and 3. The provision of infrastructure for our new developing areas of Clonburris, Saggart, Rathcoole and Newcastle.
“It was really important that all these are introduced in as carbon neutral a way as possible given that we need to do so much to halt the course of climate change” Dowds concluded.
