Originally from Newlands Golf Club, Raymond played at national level for Ireland from the age of 14 to 18 before turning pro in 2018 while still a teenager. “Raymond is an exciting young pro player and we’re very proud to be his sponsor”, said Sales Manager of Chint Ireland, Derek Hally. “We congratulate him on achieving his first tournament win at the Toro Tour Championship. We are pleased to announce Chint Ireland as his sponsor and are confident that he will continue to develop into an international star in the future”. Derek Hally added, “Being a keen golf player myself, we know first-hand how proud and honoured we are to sponsor a young Irish golfer like Raymond.”

A great golfer and also a talented football player, Raymond took the step of turning pro in 2018 when he was still a teenager. Raymond declined a US college scholarship to turn professional. He is currently being mentored by 2008 Spanish Open winner Peter Lawrie, also originally a Newlands member.  Raymond has completed this season on the European Challenge Tour.  During 2019 and 2020 he moved to Spain for a few months each year to practice with his coach Steven Palmer.  Raymond has been preparing extensively for the upcoming EuroPro Tour season. “I am delighted to be partnering up with such a great company as I move forward in my career! Derek and the guys at Chint have been awesome to me and I’m really excited at what the future is to bring.” said Raymond.

In 2019 Chint was established in the Irish market specialising in the sale of low voltage switchgear.
