Lucan Harriers 40th Anniversary

Local Councillors Vicki Casserly and Emer Higgins have congratulated Lucan Harriers on their 40th anniversary celebrations and the long-awaiting activity at the running track in Lucan. Casserly, a proud member of the running club was joined by her colleagues Cllr. Emer Higgins and Deputy Frances Fitzgerald at the Lucan Harriers 40th Year Celebrations in the Spa Hotel.

“Lucan Harriers has been a part of the community for as long as I can remember and the team have been great friends to me as I set out on my own running ambition this year. It’s great to see activity at the track at last and I’ll continue to work with my colleagues to ensure this project is completed as soon as possible,” said Cllr. Vicki Casserly.

“I was delighted to join Lucan Harriers for their 40th year celebrations in the Spa Hotel. It was great to see so many people there supporting the club which has created so many marathon runners and encouraged people to progress from the couch to 5k. I wish the Club the very best in the years ahead and hope that more athletes will come through their ranks as a result of the track which is at long last being developed,” said Cllr. Emer Higgins.
