Cllr Trevor Gilligan has called on SDCC to confer Dr Tony Holohan for Freedom of South Dublin Council at the next council meeting. “Whilst Ireland was in lock-down, Tony had worked tirelessly for the people of Ireland. We must acknowledge the time, dedication and effort Tony has put in , specifically over these uncertain past few months. The least we can do is recognize this.
Following on from the Freedom of Dublin City, I think this proposal should be carried out in every council chamber, not just Dublin City or SDCC. It is also important that we bestow this honor upon Tony as he is an active member of the Templeogue community.” Other conferred recipients of the freedom of South Dublin County include Jim Gavin, Robbie Keane, Damien Duff and Richard Dunne.
