Following on from their 2023 deviously delicious production of ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, Harold Cross Tallaght Musical Society (HXT), are excited to take to the stage with their production of the 1998 Daniel Wallace novel of mystical proportions, and 2003 Tim Burton directed motion picture, ‘Big Fish’, this November in The Civic, Tallaght.
Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, ‘Big Fish’ tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest…and then some!
Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him—most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. Their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales.
With a musical score by Andrew Lippa (The Addams Family), and book by John August, ‘Big Fish’ is overflowing with heart and humour. An extraordinary musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre — for an imaginative experience that’s richer, funnier and bigger than life itself.
Led by their talented and committed production team of Director, Niamh McGowen, Musical Director, Dermot O’Callaghan, and Choreographer, Erica Delaney, the cast are enthusiastically awaiting an audience and invite you to join them in Alabama between the 5th and 9th of November.
Harold’s Cross Tallaght are delighted to be back in their “stage home” at The Civic, Tallaght, and ready to share this magical tale.
Tickets are available from The Civic website, or by calling the Box Office on 01 462 7477, for €25, excluding a €2 booking fee.
