Ingredients
Sauce :
1tbsp hoisin sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp mirin or chinese cooking wine
2 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/4 tsp pepper
Stir fry :
1 tbsp oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 small onion,
finely chopped 1lb lean beef mince
4 spring onions,
Chopped sesame seeds (optional)
Method :
- Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl.
- Heat oil in a large pan over a high heat add the onion and garlic cook until the onion starts to brown, add the beef and break it up as it cooks.
- Once the beef has cooked add the sauce and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce has evaporated.
- Stir in nearly all of the spring onions, serve over rice or cauliflower rice for a healthier option and garnish with the remaining spring onions and some sesame seeds.
