The team from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Dublin has donated €6,000 and 4,000 hygiene kits to Hygiene Hub in a bid to help tackle hygiene poverty across Ireland.
Hygiene Hub, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing essential hygiene products to people in need, works to support vulnerable individuals and families across Ireland, helping them maintain personal hygiene and dignity during challenging times.
The hygiene kits, which include items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other essential toiletries, have been distributed to those in need in Donegal, Dublin, Limerick and Wicklow through Hygiene Hub’s established network of volunteers and community partners.
The donation of €6,000 will go towards Hygiene Hub’s Christmas campaign and will be a huge boost towards providing 2,000 bags filled with hygiene items to those who may otherwise go without across Ireland.
Speaking on the donation, Amazon Dublin’s General Manager, Darragh Kelly, said:
“We are thrilled to support Hygiene Hub and its incredible work in helping people in our community. Access to basic hygiene products is essential for health and well-being, and we hope this donation helps make a difference for many individuals and families across Ireland.”
Ciára Dalton, Co-Founder of Hygiene Hub, said:
“We’re so grateful to Darragh and the team at Amazon in Dublin for this donation. It will make a huge impact on the lives of those we serve. Hygiene products are a basic need that many people struggle to afford, and these kits will go a long way in supporting those most vulnerable.”
The donation to Hygiene Hub was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations in Ireland.
