On September 16th as part of South Dublin County Council’s (SDCC) Health and Well Being Week, sponsored by SDCC, Team James hosted their own 5km and 2km race ‘Team James Run for Barretstown’. The Inaugural Event was held in Corkagh Park, Clondalkin, where they are set out to have #seriousfun all in aid of Barretstown. James, along with help of family and friends enjoyed a fantastic day and an inclusive event for all.
Vicki Casserly, James’s Mum commented on the day “Massive thank you to everyone who came along and supported Team James for Barretstown for our Inaugural 5km and 2km Fun Run. Blown away by all the love and support. The atmosphere was magic. To everyone who helped through sponsorship of event to providing goodies for the day, pacing, registrations, marshalling, advertising and everything in between, including Gardai, colleagues, friends from SDCC, Park Rangers, lap last cafe, the wonderful Frank Greally and Jim Aughney, Thank You.”
Vicki added “Our organising commitee, Keith Nolan, my fabulous sister’s, Alison Casserly and Jenny Casserly, Kenneth , Emer Higgins, Gabriel Byrne Tom Casserly and not forgetting our Mam Frances Alina who helped with our little ones, but most importantly my better half Dan and of course Jimbo who led us out on a very fun day. So incredibly proud of everyone. James you inspire us all to move and enjoy life and be the best we can be, pretty special quality! We love you so much. For now we will say.
