A.M.Y.A. 4th Annual 5K Charity Walk

AMYAI Clondalkin Lucan

On 15th September, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Ireland (A.M.Y.A.I.) held a 5K Charity Walk in Corkagh Park, Dublin. This has become an annual event in the association’s calendar, who’ve raised over €25,000 for various Irish charities since the initial Walk in 2015. This year, it was in support of two organisations, Croí Heart & Stroke Charity and Kishoge Community College Lucan. Although the Charity Walk itself is a one-day event, there was extensive campaigning in the weeks leading up to it. Members of the youth organisation set up stalls across the country, in an effort to fundraise and raise awareness. Poster boards were put up around Lucan.

The Walk was a great success, with the help of a team of volunteers who worked to ensure everything went smoothly. However, the work doesn’t end there! This is an ongoing campaign, and members of the Youth organisation
will continue to fundraise over the next couple of weeks. The link to donate online is still open https://give.everydayhero.com/ie/ahmadiyya-muslim-youth-association-5k-walk
