The sun was shining again this year for the Garden Fete in aid of the Four Districts Day Care Centre.
Cllr. Emer Higgins who attended the event said, “It was great to see so many people out supporting the fundraiser and enjoying the sunshine. This year’s event was bigger than ever with a choo-choo train, a chill out kids zone, bouncy castles, a carousel, BBQ and pop-up stalls. Local musicians, the RAMs in Rhythm and the Kangoo jumpers entertained the crowds. Huge congrats to Neville, Christy and their team who put together a fantastic family day out in aid of a great cause.”
“I’m part of the organising committee for two other community events that are being organised for the area. On Sat 1st September we’ll host our first ever TeenFest and on Saturday 15th September our popular annual 4 Districts Fun Day will take place in the Rathcoole Community Centre. These events are free events to support local families and teenagers and I really hope the community comes out to enjoy them,” concluded Cllr. Emer Higgins.
