On November 20th, Minister and local TD Emer Higgins attended the Female in Tech Expo 2024 at the Green Isle Hotel, Clondalkin. The event welcomed over 1,000 attendees, including adults and students eager to explore careers in technology.
Focused on fields such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and software development, the expo aimed to inspire and empower women to enter Ireland’s rapidly growing tech industry. Supported by FIT (Fastrack to Information Technology), the event showcased their commitment to meeting the skills needs of Ireland’s increasingly digitised economy. Minister Higgins praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the tech sector.
