For over 2 decades Rockbrook Park School and Parkvale Football Club have had a close working relationship. Both say they have benefited greatly from this partnership.
Now they have signed a new agreement, ensuring at least 2 more decades of fruitful collaboration. All parties agree that this is great news, for the School and for the Club.
Rockbrook is a secondary school for boys, on an extensive campus overlooking Dublin, 10 minutes from Rathfarnham.
Dr Máirtín Ó Droma, chair of the School’s Board of Management, said that the new agreement builds on the “very good experience of working with Parkvale over many years”.
“We are very happy that Parkvale has made its home in Rockbrook, using and developing the wonderful football facilities on the Rockbrook campus, and making them accessible to a wide community. Our sports facilities were recently upgraded and there are plans for further development.”
“Rockbrook was set up by families, for families. It sees the School as an extension of the family, working closely with parents, helping their son to develop and strive for excellence, in academic performance, character growth, faith and values, social responsibility and leadership. Excellence in sport complements all this, reinforced by our relationship with Parkvale.”
Mr Adam Berber of Parkvale remarked that this is a “win-win relationship”.
“The Rockbrook campus gives Parkvale a wonderful base for our Club. We are proud to contribute to the community by delivering high-quality sports programs for young people across a wide catchment area. Our coaching serves all age groups, from primary school children to seniors, with 20 schoolboy and schoolgirl teams, a Women’s Senior Team, and a large academy for boys and girls aged 5 and 6.”
“ParkVale FC received the FAI Club Mark One Star Award in 2023. The FAI Club Mark is an award based on best practice in the governance, management and administration of a football club. The One Star Award is recognition that the club has become an official FAI Development Center in line with the FAI’s Player Development Plan.”
“This renewed agreement with the School is a powerful support for our vision for the Club, giving us a clear horizon for the longer term.”
