Kickboxing Ireland’s Junior World Championship journey commenced with remarkable vigour during the first squad training session of the year. Over 70 talented junior athletes fighting in the point fighting, kick light and light contact divisions participated in two intensive 90-minute development sessions, signalling a promising start to their preparations.
Head Coach Dave Heffernan said “Great to see such positive energy and talent from all our young athletes from clubs all over the country working together. The future looks bright for kickboxing in Ireland.”
Additionally, we are thrilled to announce that the next squad session is scheduled to take place in tandem with the first ring sport session on May 5th. Furthermore, Forms squad sessions are planned in the coming weeks. With such robust training schedules and enthusiastic participation, this half of the year is shaping up to be an exciting and productive period for Kickboxing Ireland
