Students attended the official sod turning event at the site of Kingswood Community College which marked the start of construction by Glasgiven Contractors, who have been on site since the end of August 2017. The event was also attended by Cllr Charlie O’Connor, Brian Hayes MEP, Colm Brophy TD, Cllr Mick Duff, Board Representatives, College staff and representatives from Kingswood Heights Residents Association, who were praised for their ongoing support for the programme.
College Principal, Deborah Dunne also addressed the gathering. Completion of the school building is expected by Summer 2019.
